About Dupixent®

Dupixent® is an FDA-approved injectable monoclonal antibody medication developed by Regeneron and Sanofi. It works by targeting and inhibiting the signaling of two proteins, interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which play a key role in the inflammatory response of several allergic and atopic conditions. Dupixent® is typically prescribed for patients who have not responded adequately to topical or oral therapies. It’s available in pre-filled syringes or injection pens, allowing for at-home administration after proper training by a healthcare provider.

Dupixent® is used to treat a range of chronic inflammatory conditions, including moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema), asthma with an eosinophilic phenotype or oral corticosteroid dependence, and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). More recently, it has also been approved for conditions such as eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and prurigo nodularis, making it a versatile option for immune-related disorders. Patients typically use Dupixent for long-term management, as it helps reduce symptoms like inflammation, itching, nasal congestion, or breathing difficulties, while improving overall quality of life when taken as prescribed.

About Dupixent® and CTCL (Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma)

T-cell lymphoma is a rare and complex group of non-Hodgkin lymphomas that develop from T-lymphocytes (T-cells), a type of white blood cell that plays a critical role in the immune system. These cancers occur when T-cells grow uncontrollably and form tumors in lymphoid tissues, skin, or other organs. Symptoms can vary depending on the type but often include swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, persistent fever, and in some cases, skin changes such as rashes, patches, or lesions. T-cell lymphomas are relatively uncommon, making up less than 15% of all non-Hodgkin lymphomas in the United States.

There are several subtypes of T-cell lymphoma, each with distinct characteristics. Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), including mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome, primarily affects the skin, causing red patches, plaques, or tumors that can itch or become painful. Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is an aggressive type that develops in lymph nodes or other tissues and often requires intensive chemotherapy. Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is another aggressive subtype that affects lymph nodes and often causes systemic symptoms like fevers, rashes, and infections. Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) can present in the skin or lymph nodes and may be associated with ALK gene mutations, influencing prognosis and treatment. Other rarer forms include adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL), linked to HTLV-1 viral infection, and enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL), connected to celiac disease. Treatments typically include combinations of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or stem cell transplantation, depending on the type, stage, and patient’s overall health.

Recently, the use of Dupixent® has been linked to an increased risk of developing T-Cell Lymphoma. If you or a loved one have taken Dupixent® for  at least one year, and developed TCL, you may qualify for compensation. Act now.
